Real-life locations give a different touch to the movie and its story. Obviously, a majority of the locations would be in Philadelphia. Let us tell you about all the locations in Philly.

The director of the film, Jeremiah Zagar, along with the team, scouted locations in various areas of the city. That includes North Philly, Old City, Manayunk, South Philadelphia’s Italian Market, and Queen Village. “The way the city looks from its buildings, streets, and basketball courts,” Hustle’s co-producer Joseph Vecsey says, “you just really felt the realness there.”

Wells Fargo Center

3601 S. Broad St.

It is pretty obvious that an NBA scout for the 76ers spends plenty of his time at the team’s home stadium. Moreover, all the scenes in the film were indeed shot here at this place only.

Old Pine Church

412 Pine St.

At the beginning of the film, when Stanley comes home after a long work patch, he connects with his daughter, Alex, by playing the role of the cool parent. Even though she hasn’t completed her homework, he allows her to go to a screening of a movie at a cemetery. Stanley drops Alex off to meet her friends at Old Pine Church. It is a Presbyterian house of worship built in 1768 that is surrounded by a historic colonial-era churchyard.

The direction in each symbolic location is fantastic.

Butcher and Singer

1500 Walnut St.

After Stan gets the news of the death of his friend and mentor, 76ers owner, Rex Merrick, he attends a wake at this place, which is a real Philadelphia chophouse. The restaurant’s luxe interior is fully put on display as Stan really connects with old friends and other teammates here.

Melrose Diner

1501-1527 Snyder Ave.

This classic Philly diner is a food-filled montage, where Stan is having a conversation with his wife, Teresa, not long after NBA prospect Bo Cruz first arrives in Philly. The conversation itself was filmed inside Fante’s Kitchen Shop, which is a historic cookware store on Philly’s South Ninth Street.

Capitolo Playground

900 Federal St.

Bo plays the game in many playgrounds. But when he played and got filmed the game on this playground, it went viral.

Ray’s Happy Birthday Bar

1200 E. Passyunk Ave.

In the film, towards the end, Stan’s daughter, Alex, is preparing to watch a 76ers game at a bar called McGlinchey’s. In reality, Ray’s Happy Birthday Bar is the place where this scene was shot.
