After the resounding success of Stranger Things, all the actors from the Netflix flagship series have gained immense popularity. So much so that they have become synonymous with their characters. None so more than Millie Bobby Brown as the incredibly strong telekinetic teenager who saves the world in every season.
It is hard to believe that the British actor was only 12 when she played Eleven on Stranger Things for the first time. Although, we are glad that they didn’t name her Twelve; it doesn’t have the same ring to it. Perhaps, it would’ve been tougher to nickname that as well. El just rolls off the tongue, doesn’t it? It’s been six years since the first season of Stranger Things premiered on Netflix. Being too close to the narrative and occupied with the filming process, it’s quite common to forget certain details about the show. That’s exactly what happened to Millie Bobby Brown.

Millie Bobby Brown appalled at Eleven’s actual age
In an interview that she did with her friend and co-star Noah Schnapp, Millie and Noah saw a clip from season 4. When she was informed about Eleven being 14 in the show, Millie’s horrified reaction was genuine, yet hilarious. “Eleven is 14? I was making out with Mike at 13?!,” exclaimed the Enola Holmes star.
When the High School setting of Stranger Things dawned on Millie, she referred to her actual age in the scene. “I’m like 16. I was thinking maybe 16, 17? That’s insane. We need definite clarification.” In fact, she was so serious that she even asked her team to email the concerned parties for clarification.

While the mini outburst was real, the Stranger Things stars laughed it off, surprised at themselves for misremembering the details. Smiling and laughing all the while, Noah Schnapp, who plays Will Byers in the fantasy series, exclaimed, “We are so young.”
In all fairness, Stranger Things is one of those rare shows with almost age-appropriate casting. The actors were more or less the same age as the characters they play on screen. Also, the kissing scenes between all the stars including Finn Wolfhard (Mike Wheeler) and Brown (Eleven), were PG and handled quite well in the show.
