When Henry Cavill Indirectly Hinted at How He Used to Correct People on the Sets of ‘The Witcher’
Henry Cavill may be one of the most handsome men in the world. But there is more to our superhero than sexy jawline, massive build, and smoldering eyes. He is a lot like his Superman character Clark Ken, intelligent on the inside and hot on the outside. The jack of all trades once made a video of assembling his computer. Talk about beauty with brains! The actor has also read all of Andrzej Sapkowski’s The Witcher books and knew the story well before he was cast as Geralt of Rivia. Probably more than most of the people involved in the making of the fantasy drama.
The series has given out two successful seasons so far and has recently wrapped up shooting for the third. While Cavill is perfect for the role, it is almost difficult to imagine that he was initially rejected for the lead in the show. Show creator Lauren Schmidt waited for months before confirming him for the role of Geralt of Rivia. And thereon we got the perfect Witcher who not only acts but also knows the ins and outs of the series.

The Man of Steel hero loved The Witcher franchise, right from the books to the games, and shared the same during the interview. The Superman hero appeared as one of the guests on The Graham Norton Show alongside Zendaya and Spiderman hero Tom Holland. During the interview, Graham asked Cavill to confirm whether he knows about the show more than anyone else on The Witcher sets, and also whether he corrects those around him.
Henry explains that while he is not the most informed fan of The Witcher on the sets, he is effusive about the source material. So he agrees about hinting at people on the sets by making sure they stay loyal to the books. Graham Norton chuckles and says what everyone is probably thinking, “Do fly your nerd flag with pride.”

One thing is for sure, Cavill’s The Witcher co-stars Anya Chalotra, Freya Allan, and Joey Battey must get a lot of detailed insights about the series storyline. So while the whole crew prepares to be back with season 3, we are hoping the showmakers listen to Cavill’s advice on sticking to the book. And if you haven’t watched the show yet, now is the time to catch up. The Witcher is available on Netflix to stream.
