What Saved Resident Evil For Netflix Was No Less Than A Miracle

Continuing this phase new adaptation of Resident Evil received mixed reviews from fans and critics. Some like the classic story of Albert Wesker, the senior evil scientist of the Umbrella Corporation. While the video game fans felt betrayed by the emotional representation of family crisis. Amidst this chaos, the only thing that came like a boon was Lance Reddick who embodied the manipulative character of Albert Wesker to perfection.

According to Slate, it was one of the best decisions that the creators made to cast Lance Reddick in the series. Even though they haven’t received much appreciation from the critics. But it’s doubtless that the actor has done a nice job here. Well, there is certainly a reason we still praise his role of Charon in John Wick and Cedric in The Wire.
For instance, in the opening episode, we meet the twin Wesker girls Jade and Billie. When Billie gets into a fight with a kid and the parent of the child scolds her. And the entry of Lance aka Albert changes the whole vibe. The scene is so enthralling when Lance proves his authority over things in Umbrella Corporation. In a very smooth, way he warns the parent that he can make his career blow into ashes just in an instant.

Without even making many efforts as he just has to tell people about who he is. In simpler words, he can get him blacklisted from all the tech companies in seconds. Moreover, this was a surprising thing to see that Wesker can be extremely protective of his girls. Despite being a wicked man who does all the shady jobs for his boss.
Meanwhile, the division of the story into two timelines made things chaotic. Because the 2036 plotline feels like any other zombie genre fans would have watched earlier. And 2022 is the same moderate version of Umbrella Corporation and its underlying dirty secrets.
