What is Werewolf By Night about?

After releasing a plethora of films and shows based around the superhero genres, Marvel Cinematic Universe is now exploring the classic horror genre. Directed by Michael Giacchino, Werewolf By Night, premiered worldwide on 7 October 2022. The 54-minute Halloween special is something unique and unlike any other Marvel project.

It is the first time Marvel has explored the horror genre. Werewolf By Night follows the story of a handful of monster hunters who have gathered together at Bloodstone Manor to compete for an ancient relic, a ruby-red gem with supernatural powers.

Moreover, the tv series is based on a Marvel comic book of the same name. But rather than having a superhero plot, it has more of an eerie horror storyline. Classic horror fans will feel right at home while watching Werewolf By Night.

Is the Halloween special series available on Netflix?

Sadly, Werewolf By Night is not available on Netflix. All Marvel fans can check out the series only on Disney+. The special stars Mexican actor Gael García Bernal takes lead as Jack Russel, a normal man whose ancestors were inflicted with the curse of the werewolf.

Russel inherits the curse soon as he turns 18. Bernal starred in a bunch of Mexican films. Furthermore, Laura Donnelly plays Elsa Bloodstone, an incredibly strong monster hunter. Laura is best known for her roles in Outlander and The Fall. Apart from the duo, American actress, Harriet Sansom Harris stars as Verusa. Previously, Harriet featured in the thriller drama Baby and Her Last Will.
