Believe it or not, Queen Charlotte has a huge role in making some of the best married couples for the season. She is playing her role as a queen and throwing tantrums time by time for Lady Whistledown to pick on. But significant scenes have captured the eyes of the audience. What scene, you may ask? Why, of course the one where the Queen snorts a power. It made us wonder what brown powder she was sniffing.

Bridgerton, set during the Regency era, develops around the siblings of Bridgerton. The show uses many props for the filming and development of the show to make the audience believe in the era. Golda said the queen still has a childlike attitude, is rebellious, and isn’t afraid to showcase her wicked sense of humor. She is very focused on claiming herself as the best among all the other ladies from the Elite class, and she knows it all. And for obvious reasons, no one dares to question the queen.

In Bridgerton season 2, Queen Charlotte is sniffing tobacco rather than smoking it or putting it in her mouth. Queen’s nicotine addiction is already well-documented in the history of the Regency Era. According to Decider, the queen was given the nickname of “Snuffy Charlotte”. During Regency Era, snuff was legal but was very pricy. Only an elite could afford to snuff regularly.
