We do not know what you have planned for the rest of 2023, but it is definitely not as extravagant as what Netflix has planned for you. Stepping into New Year, when the existential dread is at its maximum, Netflix has provided some moral support by releasing its 2023 movie and series lineup. While the series lineup is pretty obvious with new seasons of already love series, the movie lineup is really where the fun is at.

This year, the OTT Mughal once again brings to the table delicacies going from thriller to romantic comedies starring household names such as Millie Bobby Brown, Ashton Kutcher, and Chris Evans. With almost twenty original Netflix productions, the streaming service is aiming at holding the award season by the jugular.

Netflix movie lineup in the first half of 2023

With just one month into 2023, we have already been greeted with many gems, but Netflix is making promises for much more. Greeting us on the 27th of January is the excellent director of Black-ish with his comedy flick titled You People. While the movie consists of a star-studded cast, it is Eddie Murphy and Jona Jill who are going to be doing most of the heavy lifting.

February is packed with romances that will make you soon. The most exciting of the lot is Ashton Kutcher and Reese Witherspoon in Your Place or Mine, bringing back the magic of classic rom-com.

The lineup trailer gave us a glimpse of Luther: The Fallen Sun and Idris Elba in all his glory, standing on top of a building ready to catch a serial killer in this pumping thriller. Followed by another whodunnit mystery extravaganza starring Jeniffer Aniston in the sequel of the Murder Mystery on March 31.

The movie will have to meet the high standards set by Glass Onion: A Knives Out mystery given how they are sisters in plot and characters. Jennifer Lopez saying, “I’m whatever I need to be to keep her safe” as she holds a man at a gunpoint in The Mother makes the 12th of May seem like a decade away.
