As we all know, Smith had an incredibly successful career in hip-hop before he made his debut in the film industry. Will Smith: A politician?

American Presidential elections have always been a grand affair. A year before he became the president in 2016, Donald Trump was on a tour promoting and campaigning throughout America. In 2015, Trump made some shocking statements demanding Muslims be banned in America.

Amongst the many who were upset and against what the former president said, one of them was Will Smith. In an interview with CBS, the I Am Legend actor spoke, “If people keep saying all the crazy kinds of stuff they’ve been saying on the news lately about walls and Muslims, they’re going to force me into the political arena.” 

Elsewhere in the interview, Smith revealed that he has much more to offer beyond music and movies. The Emancipation actor added how he could offer more to society in the form of politics. Interestingly, Smith admitted that he would not run for governor or mayor, instead, he would take part in the presidential elections. While Smith was brutally condoned for his actions at the Oscars, the actor is still trying to make amends for his mistakes.

What are the actor’s upcoming projects?

As of late, most of Smith’s projects are on hold or canceled following the slap gate with Chris Rock at the 2022 Oscars. However, the actor does have one upcoming project. Emancipation will be making its way to the theatres on December 2 later this year.
