“There’s no viable logical way…”- Black Adam’s Dwayne Johnson Lays Out Big Plans for DCEU and Discusses Why It Had to Have Henry Cavill

Over the years, the DC extended universe has given tons of superhero films and TV shows to the audience. And, a number of renowned celebrities, including Henry Cavill, have done various films for the franchise. Recently, even Dwayne Johnson made his superhero debut with Black Adam.
Black Adam was one of the most anticipated DC projects this year. However, while people were eager to see Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson make his superhero debut, they were more excited to witness Henry Cavill as Superman again. After all these years, Cavill made his comeback as Superman in Black Adam. Superman is one of the most popular faces in the DCEU and recently, even Johnson revealed why the studio needs Cavill moving forward.

Dwayne Johnson on why DC needs Henry Cavill
Henry Cavill donned on his Kryptonian suit after being absent for nearly five years, and Cavill revealed that the cameo scene was just a mere part of what was to come. Undoubtedly, the return of Cavill in Black Adam has opened a number of new opportunities for the franchise. And soon after the release, Dwayne Johnson took to Twitter and gave a glimpse of DC’s future and why the studio needs Cavill.
The Red Notice actor spoke, “there’s no viable logical way to build out the DC Universe without the most powerful force and the greatest superhero of all time sitting on the sidelines, it’s impossible to do.” Johnson even added how DC was not ready to bring back Superman. However, they did not take no for an answer and fought hard advocating Cavill’s return.

Johnson fighting for Cavill’s return makes perfect sense since Superman is one of the most popular superheroes. And now, that Cavill is back, the fans might get to witness the Man of Steel 2, and if rumors are to be believed, the studio is eyeing Andy Muschietti to direct a new Superman movie.
