Do Ciri’s Powers Allow Her to Time Travel? Will We See Her Comb The Wools of The Past In ‘The Witcher’ Season 3?
Within the short span of two seasons and three years, The Witcher has created a separate fanbase for itself. Based on the novels and short stories of Andrzej Sapkowski, it transcends us to a world full of fantasies, mazes, and monster butchers. While season 1 told the story of its 3 main characters in separate timelines, season 2 narrowed it down by bringing Geralt, Yenna, and Ciri under one sky. And we highly speculate that the third season of the series will be entirely about the Cintran princess. We will see Ciri in The Witcher season 3 exploring her immense and destructive power and finding a place for herself.
From the tales we have heard and lore we have listened to, we do know that Geralt’s child surprise is prophesized to be the cause of the witchers’ destruction. However, the prophecy doesn’t end there. Her elder blood possesses powers unimaginable. And hence, there are so many forces with a desire to capture the princess and take advantage of her power.

While in the first season, we saw her accidentally demonstrating some of her magic, the second outing had Ciri properly training to take control of what she had inside of her. If Geralt taught her to fight the enemies, Yennefer taught her to open the portals to different places and timelines. Ahead of The Witcher season 3 release, these instances lead us to ponder upon an important question:
Is Ciri capable of time travel, and will she exhibit it in The Witcher season 3?
In the climactic ending of the second outing, we saw Ciri being captured by Voleth Meir because of Yennefer’s deeds. The deathless Mother used Ciri’s body to kill a number of witchers until Yenna finally had a change of heart. And when she offers herself, she, Ciri, and Geralt end up in another world. This could aptly suggest Ciri’s capability of traveling through time and space and using it in the most awaited third season.

And now that the entire world wants to take her away from Geralt, she can seize all her powers and travel through time, opening one portal to another until she finally brings the prophecy to reality.
