“The royal family is hiding behind sofas” – Royal Commentator Reveals the Situation in the House of Windsor Ahead of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s Docuseries
In her first interview post Queen Elizabeth II’s demise, Meghan Markle confirmed the release of docuseries on Netflix. Over the past month, there was a lot of anticipation about whether Harry and Meghan will go ahead with the Netflix project following the appointment of King Charles III as the new monarch.
The Duchess of Sussex put all the rumors to rest by declaring that the docuseries is happening with Liz Garbus as the director. However, she also defended herself and Harry saying that the story has been projected through the director’s vision and it might not match the way they would have conveyed it. Speaking about the much-anticipated series, royal commentator Russell Myers said that the news of the Netflix show has caused panic in the royal family.

Royal family concerned about Harry and Meghan Markle’s docuseries
Russell Myers believes that by confirming the docuseries, Meghan Markle has dropped a bomb on the House of Windsor. The Palace is extremely concerned about what they will say about the new monarch King Charles III and Queen Consort Camilla on the American streaming giant’s show. The royal commentator is of the view that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s subjects back in the United Kingdom have already pressed the panic button as the docuseries can cause a lot of harm to the image of the family.
“The one big revelation – we were debating this yesterday, the will they, won’t they appear in this Netflix drama – is that she has dropped the bomb. This is happening. It is all happening. I imagine the Royal Family will be hiding behind the sofas waiting for this one,” Myers said while speaking to Express UK.

During the interview with Variety, Meghan Markle also clarified that the couple has acted in the Netflix show. She described Harry’s first shoot as an amazing experience due to the presence of so many creative people on the set.
Meanwhile, it is also reported that Harry and Meghan are concerned about facing backlash due to the release of the docuseries just a few months after the demise of Queen Elizabeth II. Thus, Netflix may also release the project later somewhere around next year.
