Australian-born Rebel Wilson was already famous in Australia when she came to the States; her debut role in Hollywood was written specifically for her. It was the role of Brynn in Judd Apatow’s Bridesmaids. She was famous in no time and roles started pouring in. She is known for her work in Pitch Perfect, How to be Single, Jojo Rabbit, The Hustle, and many others. Senior Year is Rebel’s latest Netflix movie featuring her famed dancing skills.
Rebel Wilson shares this ‘total mistake’ while filming the Britney dance
Senior Year on Netflix trended heavily because of Rebel’s comic skills but the Britney dance took it to the next level. Rebel plays Stephanie, who is a 37-year-old and has woken from a 20-yr-long coma. She wants to restart her life, so she joins a high school. She has a group of friends who are all awkward for not being ‘normal’. Stephanie kills it with the Britney dance with this bunch, in an attempt to look ‘cool’ like the other kids. Even though Senior Year failed to impress the critics, Rebel’s Britney dance went viral and fetched a significant audience. Here have a look at it.

Senior Year reviews are more on the bleaker side but Rebel’s acting and performance are drawing fans in. The uniqueness of the storyline is curiosity inducing too. Fans are watching it for fun and silliness in Rebel’s style, and they don’t relate to the low ratings of the movie; they’re calling it ‘funny‘ and ‘better than expected‘.

Interestingly, it is also the second film with Rebel in a coma! The first one was Isn’t It Romantic? which also was Rebel’s debut lead role. This one too has mixed reviews. If you haven’t watched the Senior Year yet, stream it on Netflix.
