“She is beyond talented”: Euphoria Fame Sydney Sweeney Lauds Emmy Competitor Julia Garner for ‘Ozark’
It has been an incredible year for both ladies, Sydney Sweeney and Julia Garner in Hollywood. Not only did they pack a punch with their performance this year but also bagged Emmy nominations! And not one but two! Sydney was nominated for the first time at the Emmys for her amazing turn as Cassie in the HBO series, Euphoria and The White Lotus. But she’s up against some really talented women in that category including Julia Garner. Right ahead of the marquee event, Variety caught up with the Euphoria star.
Sydney Sweeney sings praises for Inventing Anna star, Julia Garner
Sweeney is nominated for an Emmy in the supporting actress role in Euphoria and The White Lotus. But the general consensus is that Garner might take away the award again this year. After all, she won the award twice in 2019 and 2020 for her role as Ruth Langmore in Ozark. However, Sydney doesn’t feel threatened. In fact, she’s glad that Garner got nominated beside her.

“I love “Ozark” so I’m really happy for Julia Garner, I think she is beyond talented,’ she said.
Sydney is preparing for her first Marvel movie, Madam Web beside Dakota Johnson. She’s keeping her role in the movie a secret. The actress has just recently wrapped up Tony Toast’s National Anthem.
Apart from her and Garner, Patricia Arquette (Severance), Jung Ho-yeon (Squid Game), Christina Ricci (Yellowjackets), Rhea Seehorn (Better Call Saul), J. Smith-Cameron (Succession), and Sarah Snook (Succession) are also nominated in the same category.

Garner’s first nomination in the leading actress category
Her incredible performance in Inventing Anna where she portrayed the real-life Soho grifter Anna Delvey earned her a nomination in the leading actress category. The Ozark actress was seen in a completely new form in the Shonda Rhimes limited series. She was especially praised for mastering her tough and mixed accent of Delvey.
