Fury of the Gods. The sequel of the 2019 film Shazam! will soon be making its way to the screens and there is a lot of hype and speculation surrounding it. As each day brings us closer to the film’s release, Zachary Levi made a peculiar request involving Ryan Reynolds.

It might surprise you to know, but the rumors surrounding Shazam! Fury of the Gods suggests that the upcoming DC film is going to be a box office blunder. As per reports, the film is likely to open less than its first film. However, despite all that, Levi has demanded to bring back another failed DC character, Green Lantern a.k.a. Ryan Reynolds in the mix. Allegedly, the actor wants the franchise to give Green Lantern another shot. In an interaction with Jake Hamilton, the Shazam! star mentioned, “I think it’d be fun. I think my Shazam and his Green Lantern would have a lot of fun.”

We are no strangers to the fact that Ryan Reynolds’ Green Lantern was one of the worst films by the actor. The movie was a critical and commercial box office failure and left a major scar on the actor’s career as well. Meanwhile, fans are wondering whether Levi is on the same path with Shazam! Fury of the Gods. While the actor’s request is unusual since already the film is predicted to become a failure, the DC fans have picked their sides. While some feel the move to bring back Hal Jordan would result in a failure, others are up for it.

Ryan Reynolds as Deadpool might go down as one of the greatest performances by an actor. A number of people were in awe of Reynolds’ incredible portrayal of the Merc with a mouth. Interestingly, Zachary Levi previously revealed he envied Reynolds after the actor landed the role in Deadpool.

In 2021, Levi confessed how he always wanted the character. Well, one can’t blame the actor since Deadpool is an iconic character. However, Reynolds undeniably played the character to perfection.
