Ryan Reynolds to Headline Just for Laughs’ 40th Anniversary Special Show in London
Deemed the funny guy in Hollywood, it was high time that Ryan Reynolds did some stand-up. He has shown his sense of humor time and again in his movie roles, in his marketing campaigns, Twitter, and, of course, during interviews. Now that he has shifted to Tumblr, he has resorted to sharing funny Deadpool GIFs. He has now finally gotten the chance to stand up on stage with a mic just to crack jokes, thanks to Just For Laughs.
Just for Laughs had its beginning in Canada in 1983. The comedy festival has previously taken place in Montreal and Australia. The show enjoys a huge following both online and offline. Well, no wonder that Reynolds, with his Canadian roots, wanted to be a part of the festival!

Just for Laughs gets Ryan Reynolds to headline its anniversary special
Just for Laughs has been running for more than 30 years, and the show’s president, Bruce Willis, decided to celebrate its 40th anniversary in London. In partnership with Comic Relief, the festival will take place at O2 in London and will feature a variety of artists. But of course, the biggest draw of the festival remains the Hollywood superstar, Ryan Reynolds.
The Merc with a Mouth will host an event titled Maximum Effort. He will take the audience on his journey from a mere TV star to a rom-com star to a potty-mouthed superhero. Interestingly, Maximum Effort is also the name of his production company. With his impeccable comic timing, Reynolds is the perfect choice for kick-starting the event.

The star recently starred in his first musical, Spirited. The movie received mixed reviews, but it allowed him to show off his vocal chops. He will next appear as the beloved Marvel superhero, Deadpool, in the upcoming threequel.
