Ryan Reynolds is the funny guy of Hollywood, so it’s quite rare to see him become the butt of a joke. But it’s only possible when a certain Wolverine decides to prank the prankster. The Holiday sweater prank became viral and spawned several memes. 

However, knowing Ryan he took it in stride and turned it into something worthwhile. During an interview with Access, the Hollywood star revealed that he is in fact glad that Hugh Jackman pulled the prank on him.

In 2018, Jake Gyllenhaal and Hugh Jackman provided a great dose of laughter to the world when they pranked Ryan Reynolds. The father of three was invited to an ugly sweater party only to arrive and realize that the dress code only applied to him!

The big golden bow Christmas sweater and Ryan’s dead expression in contrast to the glee on his friends’ faces have since been shared a million times over. However, the Aviation Gin owner decided to use it as a fun Christmas campaign for the SickKids foundation. And his brilliant strategy raised $640,000 for the hospital this year!

But he acknowledged that this idea was possible only because Jackman pulled that hilarious prank.  “This sweater has turned into a wild money generator for SickKids’ foundation in Toronto. I am super grateful to Hugh Jackman for pranking me with this because this turned into this beast for good,” he said. He further revealed that they have more Christmas hijinks planned with it.

Hugh Jackman and Ryan first met on the set of X-Men- Origins. The Aussie and the Canadian hit it off immediately and have shared great camaraderie ever since. They regularly throw shades at each other which speaks volumes about their bond. The two will share a screen again in Deadpool 3.
