While there is a sense of pride in promises that are fulfilled, there is beauty in promises that are broken. Especially if the promise being broken gives way to a beautiful union such as that of Peter Parker and Gwen Stacy in The Amazing Spider-Man back in 2012 or of Ryan Reynolds and $300 million dollars. The actor who has been advocating for the network since 2019 ever since he bought 25% of its stakes, recently sold it for a deal in billions. Reynolds’ constant creative and pun-intended commercial plug-ins that he shared on his popular social media handles helped in fetching hoards of customers. Therefore, he owed an explanation to them following the sell-off.

To say that Reynolds and the networking company coming together was ‘mint’ to happen would be an understatement. From a potential to grow to a drive for sustainability, the company was a mirror of the actor’s requirement list when he chose to invest. However, as his tenure as the owner comes to an end, Reynolds has dropped what is ‘mint’ to be his last Mint Mobile commercial as an owner.

Ryan Reynolds addresses Mint Mobile customers after lying

The actor is dedicated to the craft of storytelling. Now be it to bring a glorious Welsh Club gone antique back to life or to promote a wireless networking system. Unfortunately, Mint Mobile will not be enjoying Reynolds’ compelling promotions as the actor confirmed he is leaving with a nonchalant “I don’t know, I am mostly out of that business,“. A few weeks earlier he said that things were not going to be changing at Mint Mobile only to release a commercial titled ‘Changes at Mobile’.

Some promises are ‘mint’ to be broken. And for Mint Mobile users, this broken promise will result in an automatic and efficient update following the 14th of April. Another proverb that the actor artfully touched with this ad is ‘Some lies are good’ as he confesses to lying.

Their only comfort was the belief that he will buy Ottawa Senators following the sell-off or that he will be joining the billionaire club. It is unclear if the sell-off means no more entertaining commercials by Ryan Reynolds, which sometimes include him pouring iced tea on mobiles. And if speculations about him buying Ottawa Senators with the money are true, then he will be getting busy.
