Thanks to David Letterman and his questions, we finally have the information bout Ryan’s next project. While talking about his filmography and the film he hasn’t done yet, Ryan told David that he hadn’t done a musical till now in his career.
But he went on to mention that he is currently shooting one with none other than The Office alumnus Will Ferrell.
The experience of shooting with one of his “heroes,” Ryan said, was “very odd” as he felt he was doing him right in front of him. The Adam Project actor then went on to add that the whole film was a bonding experience for “Will and I.”
The prospect of the film sounded amusing to even Letterman himself, who felt if Will is in it then it is definitely a musical.

Reynolds will portray Ebenezer Scrooge, while Ferrell will play a ghost called Present (probably based on the Ghost of Christmas Present). Octavia Spencer also appears in the film, but nothing is known about her character at this time. Sunita Mani of Glow takes on the role of Past.
