But looks like sharing secrets was also one of them if their Twitter spat from 2018 is anything to go by.

During A Simple Favor promotions, the actress opted for mystique and mystery as she made everyone question what the secret is with the perplexing trailer of her movie. And Reynolds really wanted to be in on it. This made way for the most entertaining high-profile couple spat on Twitter.

How did Blake Lively’s secret lead to a Twitter spat with Ryan Reynolds?

The Gossip Girl alumni knows how to keep a secret. Even from the yin to her yang, Ryan Reynolds. Lively joined hands with Anna Kendrick back in 2018 to make a nail bitting black comedy mystery thriller that resulted in a massive hit. However, the promotional stunt that went behind it made things ugly between Ryan Reynolds and Blake Lively.

After she posted the trailer on her Twitter, Reynolds demanded that he should know about the secret because, “you once drove me to the hospital when you were giving birth.” And of course, “We’re married.”

However, Blake Lively did not relent. In fact, she hit the actor with more things to worry about than Emily and her whereabouts.  “Oh darling, of all the secrets I am keeping from you, this should be the least of your concerns.. trust me,” Lively wrote with utmost sass.

Post Twitter spat, how did the couple recover?

Thanks to her choosing to keep the secret, A Simple Favor resulted in a box office collection of $97 million against a budget of $20 million. Since then, the couple has found new and improved techniques of leg pulling.

Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds are marvelous at making up for their Twitter trolling on award show stages and undoubtedly during the time they spend with each other. The Green Lantern costars continue to not mince their words when it comes to trolling each other. Truly, their crazy matches each other. Big time.
