Ryan Gosling Finally Gets His Marvel Call, but Not for the Role He Wanted?
Ryan Gosling is one of the most sought-after actors in the industry today. The La La Land star is an extremely popular actor and has achieved success and heights one can only dream of. Over the years, owing to Gosling’s incredible performances, The Gray Man actor is every director’s leading choice. Even though Ryan has worked for various popular directors and franchises, the actor previously revealed his wishes to be a part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
MCU is an extremely popular and successful film franchise with a plethora of superhero movies and shows under its belt. The franchise has given some of the most hit superhero films over the years, and tons of renowned actors got their shot at stardom through MCU films. And now, if rumors are to be believed Ryan Gosling might have a shot at a role in MCU. But which role will Gosling play in the MCU?

Is Ryan Gosling to play a role in MCU?
Time and again, Ryan Gosling has expressed his interest to play a role in Marvel Cinematic Universe. The actor even noted how it would be cool to be a part of the ever-expanding saga. And as per the rumors making the rounds, MCU has an eye on Gosling to be a part of the franchise’s project Thunderbolts.
Insider, Daniel Richtman revealed on his Patreon account that Marvel Studios are targeting Gosling for a major villain role. The role requires an actor between the age of 30-50 and reportedly the part is of a powerful and conflicted villain. It is more of an evil version of Superman.

Apart from Gosling, Marvel is also interested in casting The Northman actor Alexander Skarsgård. However, MCU has not revealed the name of the character, the requirements point toward meth addict turned superhero Sentry.

If Gosling lands the role, he will be portraying one of the most powerful characters. The hero has a completely bizarre and zany story in comic books. Interestingly, the character has a peculiar arc, partially good and evil, but generally causes more trouble than doing good. While we do not have a confirmation, it will be exciting to see Gosling play the role.
