Over the years, we have witnessed Ryan Reynolds star in a plethora of films and shows. From superhero films to comedy action projects, the actor has experimented with a wide range of film genres. However, one of his most memorable roles has been in the 2016 movie Deadpool. The actor’s performance in the movie helped him establish himself as a great actor. On the other side of the spectrum, we have Pikachu, another experimental part played by Reynolds. But do you know these two iconic films have a peculiar connection and no, it is not having the same lead actor.

Deadpool and Pikachu are poles apart when you think about it. However, surprising as it sounds, the two have had a crossover and Ryan Reynolds was not the common link. In an edition of the Deadpool comic, Wade Wilson explored outer space in search of a weapon to kill his arch-enemy Madcap. Interestingly, various bounty hunters who worked for the Collector tried to kill Deadpool in the hopes of finding with him the Ultimate Nullifier. However, ultimately the Collector realized that Deadpool does not have the nullifier and let him go. As Deadpool explored the Collector’s vast collection, he encountered Pikachu.

When Wilson walked down the large collection of the Collector’s items, he found a creature who had a strange resemblance to Pikachu. To make things even more realistic, the creature had similar color, body type ears, and even eyes. Furthermore, even the expression of the creature is exactly as if the collector has imprisoned Pikachu forcefully.

The meet-up between the two characters is surely peculiar when you think about it. One is a wisecracking superhero while the other is a yellow mouse-like creature with electrical abilities. Furthermore, it even puts one in thought on whether Marvel and Pikachu franchises could have a possible crossover in the future.

Will Ryan Reynolds be a part of Pikachu 2?

As we all know, Ryan Reynolds’ films and shows are usually very well-liked by the masses. And owing to the actor’s incredible performances, the fans often want more from the actor. Likewise, Pikachu also became popular, and ever since everyone is curious if there will be a sequel and whether Reynolds would be a part of it.

Well, as per reports by Deadline, Jonathan Krisel could serve as the front-runner for the movie’s sequel. The report further states that Reynolds’ involvement in the movie is up in the air. However, those involved in the film feel, Reynolds would have some part in the upcoming sequel.
