No matter how hard you try, one can not disagree that Henry Cavill is one of the most talented actors in the industry. His fans have seen him in action films, superhero films, and even historical dramas as well. Recently, he appeared as a high-functioning sociopath as well in the Enola Holmes franchise. But there was one potential franchise Cavill starred in that allowed him to be himself from the beginning to the end. Now that the British actor has left The Witcher, and the DC Universe, this franchise needs to come back and showcase Cavill once again. Which franchise was it?

Although different adaptations of Superman have portrayed the character differently, Cavill was the only one who caught the core essence of Superman, which is his innate goodness. He did the same with his fan-favorite character, Geralt of Rivia. Though the 39-year-old actor is surely a James Bond-worthy actor, he once appeared as a CIA agent in 2015.

Henry Cavill was at his best as the CIA agent in 2015

Produced, directed, and screenplay by Guy Ritchie, The Man from U.N.C.L.E. is a 2015 action-adventure film that starred Cavill as Napoleon Solo. The film is based on the 1964 TV series of the same name. Unlike any other characters that Cavill played, Solo let him have fun in his own way. As we proceed with the plot of the film, we instantly see Cavill as a funny, charmingly strong spy. His performance in this film is proof of The Witcher actor’s versatility and his greater understanding of the characters that he plays. Napoleon Solo instantly creates a relationship with the audience and takes them along on the journey. A charming spy with hilarious dialogue shows how much Solo enjoys his work.

However, the film didn’t do well at the box office. Thus, we didn’t get to see a sequel. But it would have been nice to see Solo and his co-star, Armie Hammer, as Illya Kuryakin on the screen once again. At the end of the film, it was evident that they were going to go on another adventurous journey. However, we never got to see that and we doubt we ever will. Solo has a complicated past, which is clear in his current behavior toward people around him. It would have been exciting to explore more about the background of the character in what could have been a fruitful franchise, according to Collider.
