Kanye West may have garnered a few critics in the industry, but still has the support of Shenseea. She is not only a singer but also a dancer who has found her big break in the Hollywood music industry. While the Jamaican-born talent is well aware of the West’s controversies, she has always been all praises for him. Rightfully so, since he was one of the big names to give her a break in the industry.

She recently grabbed the attention of music fans through her performance at the Rolling Out California music festival, in 2023. Naturally, the success has led to a lot of interviews as well. In one such interview, she was asked about her current thoughts on Ye, and this is what she had to say.

Shenseea is in touch with Kanye West

The 26-year-old rapper has broken into the competitive music industry and found success pretty quickly. But it is her hard work and patience that reaped good results. Billboard recently interviewed the recording artist during the music festival about future opportunities, Prince Harry, and Kanye West. The host asked her how was her experience working with Kanye West and whether she would like to do it again.

She promptly replied with an affirmation. The entertainer has maintained how she loved Ye and finds him to be amazing. The ‘Lick’ singer has been a big fan of his even before they met. “I’m not gonna spill too much..”, she held back after revealing how they are still in touch. The ‘Blessed’ singer has also previously collaborated with Christina Aguilera, Vybz Kartel, and Sean Paul. There have been rumors of her song with Drake as well, but with no confirmations.

But perhaps her own cherished partnership was with Kanye West for his ‘Donda’ album. But while she recorded several songs for it, many of them were left unheard.

How Shenseea feels about Ye cutting out her songs

The singer often gets asked about Kanye West cutting out her songs from the album. Even she was shocked to see only two of her songs making it to the album, after recording 5-6 of them for the 2022 Donda album. After hearing that some artists do not even make the final cut of his album, she was thankful to have ‘Ok Ok Pt. 2’ and ‘Pure Souls’ make it.
