The Mole returns to the American streaming giant after a long 14-year pause

Not all the seasons, but for the time being, Netflix has ordered the entirety of all 10 episodes of the first season. The show originally consisted of five seasons. It was first aired in the year 2001 and went on for 7 consecutive years until 2008. The show was hosted by Anderson Cooper and strived to make a total of five seasons until decided otherwise.

This was one of the very few shows of the 2000s that used to build up interest among the viewers. Unlike performing arts, it was a reality show open to everyone who thinks can take the challenge. But of course, along with the excitement, came the drama amongst the members of the group.

The reality show was more of a contest among a set of groups. Players from each squad would play together which would add to the accounts of the contestants. This show has a massive resemblance to the online game played among gamers called Among Us. The game has “an imposter”, and similarly, the show has “The mole” who plays a similar part in the contest. Its work is basically to sabotage the operation of the crew members and ensure they fail whatever mission they are on.

The two-in-one drama with mystery and thriller made the show one of the most beloved shows of the previous decade. Netflix has made the right call to revive such a gripping TV drama with extreme stunts and emotions as well.
