Netflix Is Getting Its “Pound of Flesh” From $100M Deal With Meghan and Harry, an ‘At-Home With the Sussexes-Style’ Docuseries Might Drop More “Truth Bombs”
What is better than watching reality TV shows about common people on Netflix? Well, maybe a show that follows celebrities? But what if we told you that we might have a show that is all about the Royal family of England? A show that follows the most famous couple from the Sussex family, and might even get us close to the Queen’s jubilee. Well, that is happening, as Meghan Markle and Prince Harry are reportedly filming an ‘at home with the Sussexes-style’ docuseries.
This news comes at a time when the streaming giant is struggling amidst the loss of subscribers, revenue, and also cancelation of a number of shows because of the same reason. Thus, to present to the world a series that captures the insides of the Royal family is something that might just work for the company.

It was back in 2020 when Netflix got the couple on board as what they then called “the world’s most famous unemployed, inexperienced TV producers“. However, not much has been achieved from that deal, especially for the streaming company. So far, only two projects were green-lit publicly, out of which Netflix even canceled one last month.

However, it seems like the streaming giant is finally getting the content that they aimed for Meghan and Harry are currently filming a docuseries. As per Page Six, the couple is working with a production crew for the past few months on an “at-home with the Duke and Duchess-style“. They have even welcomed the cameras into the $14 million Montecito mansion, so that the candid show’s shoot will be more effective.

This news about the docuseries will surely raise some eyebrows at the Buckingham Palace. The royals will be a worried about what other revelations they will make on the camera. Netflix aims to release the series by the end of this year along with Harry’s memoir. However, many sources claim that the Sussexes want to hold the release of the series till next year.
