However, media tapestry and online adversaries had never stopped pouring hate comments for the duo. Controversies regarding their every action are always at an all-time high. After Meghan Markle’s iconic win, haters even said the award was bought by the couple and was not a legitimate win. Nonetheless, the self-exiled couple strived forward, unbothered. However, recent news has found yet another major headline regarding Archetypes.
Audio head of Archewell demanded proper recognition for the success of Archetypes from Meghan Markle
The head of audio of the Archewell has claimed credits for the award-winning podcast hosted by Meghan Markle. It was a straight jibe at the Sussexes, accusing them of undermining their hands in making Archetypes a grand success. The executive producer, Rebecca Sananes has reportedly affirmed, Markle’s Archetypes has under-valued, under-credited, and underpaid all its producers. They have hence called for proper credit and recognition of their work.
The Hollywood Reporter recently released a list of the 40 most powerful entities for podcasts in 2022. As a matter of course, it contained Markle’s name for Archetypes. Centering around the same, Sananes called out the publication stating, “the first 40 on the list … are not talent agents.” Shedding light on her field of expertise, Rebecca talked about how producers take a load of editing, researching, writing, and making scripts and still remain undervalued.

Starting from fixing sound to maintaining the score, producers do enough to gain some more recognition for the accolades, she said. Before concluding, she also quipped that such negligence has caused podcasts to suffer an alarming decline. Nevertheless, news of the second season of Archetypes is still under introspection. Spotify is yet to confirm if Markle’s limited series podcast season 1 will be making a comeback for season 2.
