Meghan and Harry shocked the whole world when they got into a deal with Netflix. The promise from the royal couple in exchange for 100 million from the streaming service was to provide an in-depth look inside the lives of the Royal Sussexes and even the Royal Family of England. But even after two long years, nothing has come out of the huge deal. Even plans of Harry and Meghan sneaking footage from the Queen’s Royal Jubilee failed.

However, after a long time, it looks like things have finally started to gain momentum. Reportedly, Meghan and Harry have secured a director for their docuseries.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are said to be working on an “at-home” docuseries with filmmaker Liz Garbus.

As part of their lucrative arrangement with Netflix, Harry and Meghan are alleged to have allowed Netflix cameras to record the program behind the scenes at their Montecito house.

Ms. Garbus was spotted with Harry and Meghan as they were tailed by a camera team during their September vacation to New York, according to sources.

Liz has received an Emmy nomination for her work on The Handmaid’s Tale‘s fourth season. Garbus also directed Lost Girls, a Netflix early epidemic success.

The streaming service also dropped Meghan’s animated program, Pearl. The Archewell Productions project was supposed to center on the experiences of a 12-year-old girl inspired by historical figures.

Meghan was set to co-executive produce the show with Sir Elton John’s filmmaker spouse, David Furnish.

As of now, there are not many details as to what we will see in the docuseries by the Royal Couple. It was even reported that Royal Aides stopped Netflix from getting any photographs clicked during the Jubilee celebrations.
