Kanye West is a thriving name in the entertainment industry because of the music he has created over the years. But the rapper has also been known for his fashion sense as he collaborated with many notable brands. As a fashion designer, Ye has worked with Nike, Louis Vuitton, The Gap, and A.P.C. on clothing and footwear. Not to mention, his most high-end collaboration is with the German sportswear company Adidas.

The collaboration named Yeezy was founded by the rapper, which includes limited edition colorways and general release sneakers. However, the current clouds of troubling statements made by the Donda singer seem to cost him a long-time partnership. Is Adidas in a pickle to sever ties with the rapper? Adidas is demanded to drop their partnership with Kanye West after his antisemitic comment

A continuous series of statements made by Kanye West has started brewing controversies affecting his professional life. As his benefactors are cutting ties with Ye, including Balenciaga, JPMorgan Chase, and Vogue. While the biggest partner of the Praise God singer, Adidas has maintained silence over this ongoing antisemitic wave, while reviewing the contract. Even though the talent agency CAA has also discontinued supporting the Yeezy owner after his hate campaign against Jewish people.

However, it seems that the giant sportswear brand won’t be able to ignore this for a long time after what West said during the Drink Champs Podcast.

“I can say anti-Semitic things, and Adidas can’t drop me. Now what? Now what?” stated Ye. Seeing this, many celebrities, including Kat Dennings, Josh Gad, and Megan Stalter, have called out Adidas for taking sides with West. Also, former NBA sharpshooter and Adidas-sponsored, Detlef Schrempf, stated on social media:

“I represented the 3 stripes during my career & beyond. @adidas needs to make a statement NOW! Suspend any relationship w/ @kanyewest until he has received psychiatric help, but why wait? End it now. He won’t change #erasethehate.”

The pressure is rapidly growing on the brand as a new hashtag #BoycottAdidas has been trending on Twitter after the video of the fashion designer came out. Meanwhile, after the White Lives Matter runway Adidas has already assured to review the collaboration, but nothing is confirmed yet.
