Jenna Ortega Cherry Picks Some Amazing Bands Including the Beetles and Nine Inch Nails for Her ‘Ideal’ ‘Scream’ Soundtrack
Jenna Ortega is certainly leading in the race to become the ‘scream’ queen. The Wednesday actress wowed her fans with her role as the titular character in a creepy, dark, but adorable way. But before her gothic look, her portrayal as Sam Carpenter cemented her opportunities with the Scream franchise, as she reprises her position as the leading lady for the next part.
Now, being a horror flick, the background music and songs certainly add to the effects, thrill, and intensity of the scenes. ‘This Is It’, ‘Walking By Myself’, ‘Still Alive’, ‘Red Right Hand’, etc. are some of the movie’s soundtracks. Ortega was also recently questioned about the songs she would choose if she could decide on the movie and the characters’ theme. This is what she had to say.

Jenna Ortega gets candid about her amazing songs choices for Scream
Since the 20-year-old got a break in the industry, Ortega has been giving interviews and appearing in promotional events. One such recent interview was with her cast members for MTV. They discussed behind-the-scenes and what we can expect from them. While answering questions, they were asked their choice of soundtrack to suit the flick’s vibe. Ortega’s choices were, ‘She’s Leaving Home’ by The Beatles, ‘Be Quiet and Drive’ by Deftones, and ‘The Way Out Is Through’ by Nine Inch Nails.
Later on, she also confessed to listening to Daft Punk a lot and going heavy with her playlist in general. Ortega, director Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Mason Gooding, would throw songs in a playlist that they would listen to. Some songs from that playlist ended up being in the movie. Meanwhile, her fellow actors gave more cinematic-based answers, like Mozart and Beethoven, as they often add gravity to gory scenes.
