Former President Obama has finally broken his silence on Kanye West. The artist has been receiving a lot of criticism in recent times. So far, no serious consequences were faced by him. But his recent anti-Semitic comments are what led to a wave of opposition. This time Ye is paying the price for his comments.
Within a short span of time, he lost his billionaire status. Fashion brands like Balenciaga and Adidas dropped him like hot potatoes. People expected an apology from him over his “Deathcon 3 to Jewish people” tweet. But he only continues to defend his stance. Now, joining in on the group of his opposition is former President Obama.

Obama on Kanye West and Kyrie Irving remarks
Hip-hop artist Kanye West and NBA player Kyrie Irving have angered a lot of people with their anti-Semitic posts. After multiple celebrities speaking up against it, Barack Obama has now expressed his anger. “It’s not just politicians. Whether it’s out of malice or ignorance, we’ve seen recently big celebrities reposting vile, anti-semitic conspiracy theories online,” said Obama.

Obama expressed how these celebrities are using the platform to spread dangerous rhetoric. He went on to share how one does not have to be a student of history to understand that not everything we read online is true. Meanwhile, Irving was kept out of six matches and had his collaboration with Adidas broken as a penalty, all because he had shared a post of a movie that was deemed to be anti-Semitic.

Other celebrities like Jamie Lee Curtis and Shaq also spoke out against Ye and Irving over their anti-Jewish rhetoric. The community has already been through a lot at the hands of Hitler’s Nazi party. It is to be seen what further steps will be taken against the two or how they makeup for their mistakes.
