Chris Rock finally broke his silence on the Will Smith incident, and now his brother is speaking up. It has been more than a year now since the incident first occurred. But the topic certainly refuses to die down as more revelations and opinions about it keep popping up. In the latest, it is comedian Tony Rock who says that the Emancipation actor lied about one thing in his apology message.

Tony Rock is the younger brother of Chris Rock and is also a comedian. He has known Smith for a long time and was one of his closest friends. This is until the slapgate incident disrupted everything. He has now given a recount of the aftermath, taking a direct jibe at the Oscar winner.

Tony Rock reveals what happened on a personal level after Will Smith slapped Chris Rock

Tony Rock has refuted claims of Will Smith ever calling them to makeup. The All of Us actor revealed on the Big Boy TV podcast, “I guess it’s not going to happen”, talking about how Smith never actually reached out to him personally. He didn’t hesitate to talk about the incident and claimed the opposite of what Smith did. The Oscar winner earlier revealed that he tried to reach Chris Rock multiple times and got no response.

As per Tony Rock, he never changed his number and expected Will Smith to call him at some point, which never happened. He also never tried to personally call Chris Rock either. The younger brother feels that the actor was likely advised by his PR team to act in a certain way. Chris Rock just made a standup session out of the incident instead of reacting immediately or soon afterward until Selective Outrage came out.

But there has been no clarification on whether Chris Rock has forgiven Smith’s actions yet. Although they do not blame Smith alone.

Chris Rock and his fans called out Jada Pinkett Smith for inciting her husband to do what he did. He even named the comedy special Selective Outrage, pointing at how Smith slapping him for the GI-Jane joke was the result of not doing anything after his wife cheated on him. His younger brother called Smith ‘soft moniker’ while pointing out how Jada Pinkett Smith keeps talking about 2Pac. The feud between them is far from over.
