“It all sounds very epic”: Sophie Rundle and Harry Kirton on the Possibility of a ‘Peaky Blinders’ Spin-Off
When you have successfully established a show like Peaky Blinders, why end it with just six seasons? That seems to be on the mind of showrunner Steven Knight, who has been discussing the possibility of a Peaky Blinders spin-off. While talking about the spin-off, Sophie Rundle and Harry Kirton also showed their interest in a recent interview.
Peaky Blinders spin-off
Now that Peaky Blinders are finally at rest, show creator Steven Knight is getting busy with the future of the Blinders. We all know that a film is already under development. But in a recent statement, director Anthony Byrne revealed the hopes of a spin-off show featuring young Peaky Blinders.

He said, “Steve wants to do a spin-off show featuring younger Peakies who we might see potentially coming to London and causing havoc and maybe getting involved with other gangs.”
Ada Shelby, the mother of adolescent Karl Thorne, and Harry Kirton’s younger Peaky Finn Shelby would both be obvious additions to the cast, even if just to create room for the next generation.

While talking about the same, Sophie Rundle, who plays Ada, said that even though she loves the show and is proud to be part of the Peaky world, she has no concrete idea what the future holds for her character. “And whatever happens next, we’ll see,” she added.

While Sophie is unclear about the future, Harry Kirton, on the other hand, can’t wait to be a part of it. “It all sounds very epic,” the actor says, while talking about the spin-off.
Harry feels it will be great to see Finn in a new setting. And a great turn for his young career. “We’ll see what happens with that. We’ll see what my co-stars say,” says the actor.

Nothing is for sure right now. But a spin-off series will surely be a delight to the fans. And if they include Tommy’s new son, Duke, who doesn’t get along well with Finn in the series as a young Peaky. The show will nothing be short of a banger.
