Mother! is a 2017 American psychological horror film written and directed by Darren Aronofsky. A psychological thriller often uses mystery elements and characters with unstable, unreliable, or disturbing psychological states to enhance the setting and plot’s suspense, drama, action, and paranoia and provide an overall unpleasant, unsettling, or distressing atmosphere. Mother starring Jennifer Lawrence, Javier Bardem, Ed Harris, Michelle Pfeiffer, Domhnall Gleeson, Brian Gleeson, and Kristen Wiig represents exactly the same.
