If there’s one thing that you can expect from Ozark is that characters are most definitely going to die. Everyone was sure that the Byrdes would not make it out this time. But the writers decided they would and instead killed off one of the fan favorites. Ruth’s death not only came as a shocker but was also heartbreaking considering how much she had sacrificed for the Byrdes. Fans aren’t over her death yet, which is why Netflix has just released a short farewell clip for Ruth Langmore, narrated by Julia Garner.

A montage of Ruth’s best and worst moments in the show narrated by Julia Garner

The video opens with Ruth taking out a gun and we are immediately reminded that Ruth comes from a crime family. The Langmores were natives of the Ozark until the Byrdes’ arrival. We see her punching people, kicking a grown man out of the yacht, and also getting kidnapped and tortured. Julia Garner narrates, ” I used to not even think about the future because, you know, what was the point? So I’d get mad. Get into trouble.” But behind that roughness was a young girl wanting love and warmth. We see in her most vulnerable moments with Marty, Wyatt, and Ben. But she grew distant from her cousin when she killed his dad to save Marty. Just when it looked like her misery would end, she loses Ben.
