Stranger Things started streaming on Netflix in 2016, with subsequent seasons 2 and 3 airing in 2017 and 2019. This February, Netflix announced that the show will reach its end in the fifth season and that this year’s fourth season will have two parts. Volume 1 will release on May 27, while Volume 2 will start streaming on July 1.
A series of posters, images, and episode titles released by Netflix followed soon.
However, sharper than Sherlock, fans of the show started brewing up theories for the show, which got immense popularity on the internet. And now, apparently, these theories have reached to show creators Matt and Ross.
While talking to Krista Smith from Netflix, the show creators admitted that many of the theorists have actually come really close and applauded them.
“I’m constantly impressed with how sharp the fans are and how quickly they’re able to put something together with very, very little information,” he said while calling the theories “startlingly accurate.”

The reason for this change in the tone of the show, according to Ross, is because the kids have grown now. “We’re leaning much harder into that horror movie territory that we love. It was fun to make that change,” he said.
