In an interview, Maitreyi Ramakrishnan lauded Mindy for managing everything alone without any hassles. “Mindy is amazing. I don’t know how she manages to do so many things at once. I think she’s got clones or something,” the Canadian actress was quoted as saying by Cosmopolitan. 

Mindy deserves a lot of credit for casting South Asian actors and ensuring racial diversity in her projects in Hollywood. The ace director has always projected the Indian-American beautifully on the screen and this is what she has done with Never Have I Ever as well. Though Maitreyi is a fan of Mindy’s work, she wants more writers and directors to come forward and portray South Asians in American shows.
