Ryan Reynolds and Blake Lively have never worked together in a romantic comedy, but they have blessed us with a lot more through their red-carpet appearances and interviews. The couple got married in late 2012 and has been going strong ever since. So strong that 75% of discussion in almost any interview revolves around their kids and their latest antics rather than the subject of the matter.

This would have been concerning if the couple did not enjoy themselves in narrating the latest funny occurrence that took place in their home. Funny occurrences aside, Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds are very strict about their kids’ privacy, making sure the angry glare of the camera clicking does not harm them. With three kids being mentioned in Taylor Swift’s songs, the couple has nailed parenting at this point. However, when asked about how they are preparing for their fourth child, Reynolds had the most unexpected answer.

Is Ryan Reynolds paranoid about the fourth baby?

Reynolds has often talked about how much he loves his kids. A quote prescribed in the social media hall of fame is the one where he hilariously says that he would use Blake Lively as a human shield in order to protect their daughter. Therefore, one would expect him to be reading every parenting manual there is as they await their fourth child. However, Reynolds is walking into this pregnancy with a champion’s attitude.

After three times, through 2014, 2016, and 2019, Reynolds has become acquainted with the whereabouts of pregnancy. When the host of The Kelly Clarkson Show congratulated him, he mocked surprise. When the interviewer asked how they are preparing for the new baby, the actor talked about how by the fourth time there is no paranoia. “By the fourth time, you are just like ‘This is happening!’, I should sweep or something, “ Reynolds says. He further adds, “Not as much preparation is happening,”.

Blake Lively is ready for the baby

While Reynolds has a rather causal approach, he did make it clear that is not the case with Blake Lively. The Gossip Girl alum is absolutely ready. In her husband’s words, Lively “is in it to win it right now.” Meanwhile, there was a time when the actor thought his wife was “pounding beer” when she was a couple of months into her pregnancy. The Deadpool actor has definitely come a long way since then.

Lively announced on her Instagram last year in September that she is pregnant with her fourth child. Since then the couple has made a show-stopping red-carpet appearance, Reynolds’ football club is thriving, and the actor is currently making Deadpool 3 with Hugh Jackman.
