Alice Oseman, an award-winning YA novelist, has developed a series of graphic novels called the Heartstopper volumes. The stories present a beautiful coming-of-age narrative about Charlie and Nick as they “meet, become friends, and start to fall in love.

There are four novels in the series so far, and we recommend reading them in order. Hopefully, it’s self-evident that the best approach to read the series is in the sequence in which the volumes are published.

So start with Heartstopper Volume One (2018), then move on to Heartstopper Volume Two (2019), Heartstopper Volume Three (2020). Finally, you end it with Heartstopper Volume Four (2021). Click on the link to buy the whole set!

What about season 2 of the show?

Despite the fact that neither Netflix nor the series’ creator has acknowledged anything, we feel Heartstopper has a high chance of becoming a long-running series.

After all, since season 1 is based on volume 1 of the graphic novels. Therefore, it stands to reason that volumes 2 through 4 might get their own adaptations as well.

That, however, is conditional on how fans react after the first eight episodes are available on the streaming service on Friday, April 22. But we have a feeling, fans will love the series, given how Heartstopper is for everyone.
