Imagine two of the hottest women on earth in an action-packed Marvel movie. Sounds amazing, right? Well, if you have imagined something like this in the past, your dream is about to come true. That is because Dakota Johnson and Sydney Sweeney are coming together as leads in a female-centric Marvel movie.

As amazing as it sounds, both of these actresses were spotted together while shooting for the film Johnson is supposed to be the lead of. But what is this film, and what part will these two ladies be playing?

The Fifty Shades of Gray actress is allegedly going to star in the upcoming MCU film, Madame Web. A while ago, Marvel was accused of not creating enough female-centric movies, hence this might be counted as the initiative taken by the studio in order to clear the accusations.

While Dakota Johnson will be playing the lead role of Madame Web, Sydney Sweeney is said to be playing her friend and classmate. According to The Animalz, this is one of the first female-focused films created by Marvel, and hence a lot of expectations ride on it. Although only Sweeny and Johnson are confirmed as the leads of the films, Variety reported in June last year that Emma Roberts might join the cast of this anticipated project.

Madame Web’s origins can be traced back to Marvel’s Spiderman in the 1980s comic books. The character is said to have ties with the character Peter Parker, helping him fight evil now and then. Last year, Dakota Johnson appeared in two films, Persuasion and Cha Cha Real Smooth. Both films did well, eventually helping the actress land a major Marvel movie.

Sweeney, on the other hand, has a lot going on aside from the big MCU project she is part of. The 25-year-old is also working on her production house, “Fifty-Fifty Films,” which she officially launched during the lockdown. She has a goal of producing as well as directing films in the near future. She also became the face of Armani’s My Way.
