Apparently, the show was demanding “too much” from the British actor.

As per Fandom Wire, the creators worked Cavill to an extent that exhausted him, leaving very little time for him to focus on other projects. Furthermore, the timing of Cavill’s exit makes the rumor a lot more appropriate. Not long before Cavill left The Witcher, the British actor returned to DC Extended Universe. Meanwhile, the show makers have already announced Liam Hemsworth as the new Geralt of Rivia.

However, there is a little more Cavill fans can look forward to. Recently, the show’s creator Lauren Hissrich revealed that the last season featuring Cavill might be released in two parts. While there is no confirmation, releasing two parts for season 3 will allow the fans to rejoice at Cavill’s presence for longer. Apart from that, the Witcher 3 Wild Hunt also paid tribute to the British actor in its latest update.

What is the actor up to now?

As of late, Cavill has a few projects lined up for the coming years. The British actor is all set to return to big screens with the Warhammer 40K series based on the game. Furthermore, Cavill might also star in the spy thriller Argylle along with Dua Lipa. However, we do not have a release date yet.
