Ryan Reynolds has become synonymous with the character of Deadpool. Thanks to the actor’s flawless portrayal of the Merc with a Mouth, one cannot imagine any other actor taking Reynolds’ place as Wade Wilson. However, recently Supernatural actor Jensen Ackles revealed at the Salute to Supernatural convention that he had a chance to play Deadpool. The actor spoke that he was not available for the role back then.

“But, had I been available, I would’ve had to, you know, jump through the studio hoops and jump through the, you know, producer hoops and stuff,” shared Ackles.

Batman: Under the Red Hood star added that he really likes the role. Interestingly, he revealed that his ex-girlfriend was also a part of the film, so it would have been awkward. However, the star has no hard feelings, as he confessed that he loves the current cast. And at the end, Ryan Reynolds was cast for the role and the rest is history.
