From Pretending To Prevailing: Netflix Releases The Trailer For ‘Purple Hearts’, A Story Of Music And Military
Adapted from Tess Wakefield’s novel Netflix Original Purple Hearts takes the road to civil romance. Two entirely different people enter a “marriage of convenience” unknowingly that this will change their lives forever. Director Elizabeth Allen Rosenbaum has featured Pretty Little Liars: The Perfectionists star Sofia Carson opposite Nicholas Galitzine. And the movie is set to release on July 29, 2022, as the streamer continues its relationship with Alloy Entertainment.

What does the Netflix trailer of Purple Hearts tell about two young struggling hearts?

The official page of Netflix posted the first look of the upcoming romance drama Purple Hearts on Twitter. The post read:
“Cassie and Luke just got married. Now they might be falling in love. @sofiacarson and @nickgalitzine star in Purple Hearts. Premiering July 29.”
The trailer opens with Carson’s voice as she reveals her story to Luke that Music is her life. But her health condition always becomes a hurdle to her success. As we get a glimpse of their marriage and the letters they write to each other. Moreover, viewers also get to see that Luke’s family has been in the military for generations. And now he is taking the guard to prove himself to his father. But he also loves the job he is doing for the nation.
However, the reality behind this seemingly perfect marriage is that they tied the knot for personal benefits only. Because Cassie was in a medical crisis whereas Luke has a troubled past that he hides from everyone. In the trailer they talk about their pretentious marriage saying:
“If we do this, we have to make this look normal, like a real marriage.”
