From being the fluffy curly-headed teenager to evolving as a famous American Actress and at last, a Duchess, the Meghan Markle effect has thrived through the seasons. Although her place of origin was a major subject of controversy surrounding the Royal Family, she has forever been the master of her own destiny. 

The Duchess has had a rollercoaster of transition over the years. The most noticeable of all was her gorgeous ginger frizzy curls to shiny locks of straight hair. Owing to her Nigerian roots, which she confessed herself in a specific episode of the Archetypes podcast, she has had the typical Nigerian hairstyle since her childhood.

In the early 2000s, Markle tried her hands on the color dye for the first time. She spiced up her hairstyle with an auburn dye job as reported by HelloMagazine. Years before Prince Harry was taken on a ride for his ginger red hair, Meghan Markle was already breaking the bars with her fiery radiant locks. 

Onlookers got the first glimpse of Markle’s gorgeous hair transition back in 2012 when she made a public appearance. The then Duchess-to-be was attending a Network Upfront at Alice Tully Hall in Lincoln Centre, USA as she startled the guests. Ever since, having tried various styles and colors, Meghan Markle finally decided to keep it radiant Brunette for a while. 

Nevertheless, her experimenting with her hair had also become a huge controversy. No sooner did she step into the Royal Family as the Duchess of Sussex, royal experts made striking remarks about her trying to abandon her native roots. Hence, as of now, the Duchess of Sussex gives her hair a fresh look only if there’s a public appearance else prefers to stay in her naturally curly locks.
