Kate Dibiasky, an astronomy graduate student, and her professor, Dr. Randall Mindy, discover a comet circling inside the solar system. The issue is that it is on a collision trajectory with Earth. What about the other issue? Nobody seems to give a damn. Warning humanity about a planet-killer on the scale of Mount Everest turns out to be a difficult truth to comprehend.
Kate and Randall go on a media tour with the aid of Dr. Oglethorpe. This takes them from the office of an uninterested President Orlean to the airwaves of Brie and Jack’s cheery morning program, The Daily Rip. With just six months before the comet makes landfall, navigating the 24-hour news cycle and capturing the attention of the social media-obsessed public before it’s too late proves hilarious – the movie is about an effort for the world to just look up.
Don’t Look Up- release date, and the impeccable cast
Most movies, even the ensemble ones, have a single lead that overshadows the rest. In Don’t Look Up, writer-director-producer Adam McKay has brought together a cast where one simply cannot point to one actor that makes the movie compelling. All of them stand out in the most amazing ways.

Adding to the enthrall is Cate Blanchett, another actress that isn’t easily overlooked and has worked in some of the most iconic roles since the beginning of her career.
Put into mix actors like DiCaprio, Jonah Hill, Tyler Perry, Rob Morgan, and Timothee Chalamet with Jennifer Lawrence as the lead and you have a product that’s sure to be a success. But, Academy and Tony award winners weren’t enough for McKay as the film features pop star Ariana Grande and Kid Cudi.
The film will be released in select cinemas on December 10, 2021, and on Netflix on December 24, 2021.
