Did Black Adam Cover Henry Cavill’s Contract As Superman; Why Are Higher-Ups Still Unsure About ‘Man of Steel 2’?
20th October 2022 was one of the biggest days in the history of the DC Extended Universe. The franchise’s biggest superhero, AKA Superman made his much-awaited comeback to DC after nearly five years. Henry Cavill donned on his Kryptonian suit for a cameo scene in Black Adam. As we all know, Cavill’s return had been a long time coming. Fans were eager to see the Son Of Krypton back on screen.
However, Superman’s return was not an easy event. Dwayne Johnson put in a lot of efforts to bring back Cavill to the franchise. Following his comeback in Black Adam, there has been a lot of buzz around Cavill’s return as Superman and how the studio plans to incorporate the same in its future films. Moreover, the rumors of a sequel to the 2013 film Man of Steel were making the rounds recently. With little to no information available on the caped superhero, it would seem the man who lobbied The Witcher star’s return is unsure about the progress.

Dwayne Johnson still unsure about DCEU plans for Henry Cavill?
Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson played a major part to bring back Henry Cavill back to DC franchise. Previously, Johnson even revealed that Superman’s return was nearly six years in the process. However, the Jumanji actor is still unsure about Cavill’s future appearances in upcoming DCEU films. Previously, Johnson revealed on Twitter that Cavill’s appearance in Black Adam was bound to happen since it was a part of Superman’s contract.

The WWE Hall of Famer spoke, “For now, the only thing we know for sure is that Henry Cavill’s contract covered his Superman role in Black Adam. That’s it.” Furthermore, the Hobbs And Shaw actor added that the studio hasn’t revealed any details about what the future holds for DC. However, Johnson feels we will soon get updates and plans for the “most important superhero.”

Reportedly, DC has already secured a backup plan just in case The Witcher actor is unable to take up the Superman mantle. As of late, there is no confirmation about what the future holds for Superman. However, it would be interesting to see what the studio plans for the most interesting superhero.
