Terry Silver’s entry in the series would have never been a good thing. But Terry outdid himself in season 4 when he took down his captain and savior John Kreese. Terry finally shed his skin and showed his killer instinct, necessary to be a Cobra Kai. However, the series foreshadowed Terry’s betrayal, which was tough to spot.
Kreese’s constant reminders to Terry about how he saved his life forced Terry to betray him. And it looked like Terry had been planning it for a while. In one episode of season 4, we see Terry reading Leviathan by Thomas Hobbes. Thomas believed a dictator with absolute powers provided peace in times of conflict. Thus, Terry believes he can bring peace to the valley with his dojo.
More hidden techniques in the next Cobra Kai season
Although Miyagi-Do lost to Cobra Kai, the “defense-only” karate dojo learned some new moves. Thanks to Johnny’s aggressive Eagle Fang strategy, Sam was almost on the verge of victory against Tory. Daniel might have reprimanded Sam for her change in style, but he soon realized the importance of offense.
However, with Chozen set to return in season 5 of Cobra Kai, fans can expect new techniques. Back in season 3, Chozen had demonstrated how Miyagi-Do karate could be used for offense. The same technique helped Daniel defend himself against Kreese in the season 3 finale. Perhaps Daniel will finally use the secret scrolls given by Chozen to employ offense in his students.

Season 4 of Cobra Kai spent more than usual time on Anthony, and we have noticed some differences. In the previous seasons, Anthony the writers portrayed Anthony as a rich, entitled brat. But Kenny’s introduction has started a new rivalry between Anthony and Kenny. While Daniel had to face bullies as a child, ironically enough, his son has grown up to become a bully.
Kenny took his revenge at the 51st All Valley Karate Tournament, where he beat up Antony. However, Kenny’s anger towards Anthony was mostly misdirected, as Kenny had lost against Robby. The comedy-drama series has one troubled father-son duo, which is improving. But if Daniel finds out about Anthony’s actions, things could take a turn for the worse.
