Despite Being the Favorite Superman, Henry Cavill Desired to Be a Completely Opposite Character in the DCEU Which He Eventually Fought
Before Henry Cavill, Kirk Alyn, Christopher Reeve, and other A-listed actors portrayed the most loved superhero, Superman, at the DCU. However, after The Witcher star got axed, fans have been a lot angry. But did you know Cavill opted to portray another major famous DCU character whom he eventually fought?
DC Universe has a lot of fan-favorite superheroes portrayed by different actors. However, while fans love Ben Affleck’s Batman, it was Christian Bale who got the role before him. And the Man of Steel actor auditioned for Batman before becoming Superman in 2013. As reported by Koimoi, despite Christian Bale getting the role of Batman, Warner Bros. liked Cavill as Batman, too.

After appearing in Man of Steel as Kal-El in 2013, the British actor gained a huge fan following. He also portrayed the iconic character in Justice League, Batman VS Superman, and recently, in Black Adam. The fans also saw Superman fighting Batman several times. After Black Adam, fans were hoping to see more of Cavill’s Superman but James Gunn axed the character, and the possibility of Man of Steel 2 as well.
Although viewers also liked Christian Bale as Batman in Batman Begins, can you imagine what would have happened if the 39-year-old actor played the role?

As James Gunn axed the character and the actor along with it, he announced his take on the Superman film. The new DC boss is rebooting the DC Universe and thus he has announced a new Superman film titled Superman Legacy. He has been writing the story of the young Clark Kent and wants to portray the story as the beginning of the DC Universe.
As the film would require a young actor to portray the character of Clark Kent in Superman Legacy, it is much more unlikely to see Cavill in it. However, the young actor who portrayed the character before in the previous Superman film has expressed his desire to be a part of it. In Man of Steel, the viewers saw Dylan Sprayberry as young Clark Kent.
