What makes a comedian great? Is it the number of people they make laugh? Or the quality of their material? Well, it is certainly debatable as to what criteria make a comedian good. But for us and many, it is the ability to tell the same joke in a million different ways. And that ability only Norm Macdonald had. Even Dave Chappelle agress on it.

While talking about his college, Dave shared a lot of personal things about him and even showed his appreciation for him. The posthumous special by the Saturday Night Live alumni ends with some of his closest friends talking about him. Norm Macdonald was a genius comedian

There probably hasn’t been a special as emotional, tear-jerking, and obviously hilarious as Nothing Special by Norm Macdonald. It is just like David Letterman says in the memorial that this certainly isn’t your everyday stand-up comedy; it is a whole different concept and format.

As all the close friends of Norm Macdonald sit to discuss his life, career, and their love for him all seem to agree on one thing: Norm was the most hilarious comedian they all knew.

The group in the special discusses how Norm was a very talented comedian who had a huge amount of material that probably no one will get to see today.

In fact, Adam Sandler says that Norm probably had eight hours’ worth of material. Adding to that Dave Chappelle recalls to the group how Norm used to do the same Star Search intro joke. But every time he did it, it was different and new.

Dave says that even though the structure of all was the same “he had million of them.”

This was just a small example of the genius of Norm. And now that the great comedian has passed away, his last ever set on Netflix becomes even more special.
