“Daddy’s gonna have a heart attack”- Jeremy Renner Once Frightened Scarlett Johansson When He Was Ready To Say Goodbye To Hawkeye
In the highly acclaimed The Avengers franchise of Marvel Cinematic Universe, fans got to see all the amazing characters under one roof. At the same time, the favorite duo that took a forever place in viewers’ hearts included Jeremy Renner and Scarlett Johansson since one cannot forget the gut-wrenching scene from Endgame as Hawkeye and Black Widow wrestled with sacrificing themselves for soul stone.
As long-time friends, they both had reasons to save one another, ultimately leading to Natasha’s death. Even though Clint Barton managed to survive that time at Vormir, it was not the actor wanted for himself. Long before the arrival of the final chapter of this storyline, Renner wished to kill off his character. Remember when he used to frighten Scarlett with fake heart attacks on the set?

Jeremy Renner once scared Scarlett Johansson by feigning a heart attack
Back in 2016, speaking at the London Film and Comic-Con, Jeremy Renner revealed how he gave the director idea of his death. The American actor stated that he used to fake heart attacks on the set of movies. It made his costar, Scarlett Johansson (Black Widow), scared whenever he did that.
“Just you know, at any given moment, if you wanna kill me off, daddy’s gonna be having a heart attack,” he said. According to the reports, the 51-year-old star wanted Clint Barton to be explored deeply in the films.
The Oscar-nominated actor took the role because he wanted to learn more about this skilled archer. Moreover, he is still one of the remaining Avengers who has not been killed, as we saw him in the 2021 miniseries created by Jonathan Igla.
