The Witcher there will mark the fight between Ciri and an iconic monster
Andrzej Sapkowski’s renowned Time of Contempt novel has several moments and sequences that most Witcher fans can look forward to seeing in Season three. The most notable is, of course, the Thanedd coup, which is currently in filming. But there is one more iconic moment that we know we’ll witness in the midst of the forthcoming season.
It was reported in June that Fabio Sachs had been cast in The Witcher Season three, implying that the highly thrilling and memorable episode in Gors Velen, where Fabio takes Ciri on a tour of the town, and they wind up watching a spectacle featuring a “basilisk,” will be included. Of course, that was a wyvern, not a basilisk.

When Ciri calls him out on his falsehoods, Barker becomes furious, and the wyvern escapes from its prison. Ciri carries her blade with her and kills the wyvern, luckily. This scene will give us a look at the sword skills of Ciri on an actual target, not dummies at Kaer Morhen.
